Bethany Haas, trainer

Still in her 20s, Bethany has acquired quite a list of athletic experience. First of all, she has won the Presidential Physical Fitness Award. She was also a competitive vaulter on horseback from 1998 to 2004 and competed at the gold medal level in international competitions. Vaulting on horseback is a sport that requires great physical strength and endurance and involves gymnastics and dance on a running horse. She was also 1 of 9 athletes chosen to compete on TEAM USA for the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain for this sport. She trained 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bethany was also Rodeo Queen 1999-2000 which required expert horsemanship. In addition to Rodeo Queen, she participated in the Miss Teen International Pageant in 2004 by representing the United States in Costa Rica. In 2005 she was Miss Sportswear at the Miss Empire America Pageant and Miss Temecula; and in 2007, she was Ms. America Beauty Teen. Bethany worked for 1 year at Team Physical Therapy in Rancho Cucamonga and is now a senior at Azusa Pacific University studying Applied Athletic Science.

Nicole Kennedy, trainer

Nicole is passionate about health and fitness, nutrition and general well-being. She is a Level One Certified CrossFit Trainer with additional certifications in CrossFit Endurance and CrossFit Kids. She graduated from the University at California, Irvine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama/Arts with minor studies in Business Management. While training she emphasizes safety in movement, form and technique. She also has practiced yoga for over 3 years and includes some aspects of breathing, stretching and balance throughout her workouts. In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, hiking, swimming and traveling with her friends and family.

Maria Absi, intern

Maria is currently an honors student at Cal Poly Pomona working on her Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with a sub division in Exercise Science. Her future goals consist of being a physical therapist specializing in sports medicine. After realizing that health promotion was her calling she began seeking experience in the field of health and fitness, she joined CrossFit Peak Performance as an intern as well as an admin trainee. Maria has a passion for helping others by promoting a life style of physical, emotional and mental well being through fitness. She enjoys hiking, pilates and yoga and was also a competitive dancer for six years.
